Development: Radisson SAS Resort & Spa
Location: Portimao, the Algarve, Portugal - 40 minutes from Faro airport along a stunning coastal route. It includes a 2km direct link to the A22 motorway.
Project Overview: The Radisson SAS Resort & Spa comprises a 194-bed, high end hotel with spa, leisure and conference facilities. The development will also feature 160 Radisson-managed, bespoke, quality apartments. The resort is a unique development and provides the accommodation solution for a Formula 1 racetrack (Autodromo do Algarve) with capacity for 100,000 spectators and 10,000 VIP guests. Additional facilities include a 1.5km international-standard karting track, a 60,000 m2 technology park, off road facilities and a state-of-the-art sports academy with indoor and outdoor playing facilities.
Project Timeline: The 5km Racetrack was formally inaugurated in November 2008 with the final round of the World Superbike Championship 2008 on November 2nd. Hotel and Residences are scheduled for completion in November 2009
